After painting the pinecone shells and re-glueing the ones that fell off, I am finally done with AP summer homework!!!
Here is the completed "3D" 2D collage made from my bag of random crap

Just a few days ago, I finally added on the vinyl paper. I had decided to cut the paper up into strips and make a butterfly pupae. At first, I had no clue how to do it, and I kinda ended up improvising along the way, but in the end, I think they look pretty good, well except for the fact that I'm pretty sure butterfly cocoons shouldn't be on the ground, but it is unfortunately too late to change that.
And for the final object, I decided to use some lego spheres I had as butterfly eggs, which I then glued on the antler-tree.
Here are some pictures of the process. In retrospect, the first picture should belong in the previous post, ah well.

Now all that remains is the paint the pinecone shells to make the butterfly wings and the foliage a little more colorful.
Just 4 more days until the deadline (=-(
oh ya, and I have decided to revisit the other two pieces see if I can improve them a little bit.
I painted the cable heads and the cork with the pink paint, and I ripped apart the large styrofoam and painted the small chunks a mix of green and yellow. I also painted a large wooden board with a mix of purple, blue and white to resemble a sky. Then, with some parental help, I nailed the large antler onto an large wooden board. After doing so, I mixed together a large amount of Elmer's glue and water to make a paper-mache mixture which I then applied to the bottom 1/3 of the board to create a ground/base which I then painted with the grey and brown paint.
Finally, I pulled out the hot glue guns and glued the styrofoam chunks onto the antlers, the cable heads and corks around the board, and the pinecone shells to resemble butterfly wings and foliage.
Then I went on a week long vacation

The following is a list of stuff from my bag of crap:
1 ginourmous pinecone
1 large deer antler
3 medium sized pieces of vinyl paper
1 bag of pink paint
1 bag of grey paint
1 bag of brown paint
1 medium sized piece of pink styrofoam
9 broken old cable heads
7 large wine corks
After some pondering, I decided to use the large antlers as the base for a tree of some sorts. I then took apart my giant pinecone and realized that 4 pinecone shells put alongside the cable heads resembled a butterfly. And then the rest of an idea began to form
